Buccaneers Playoff Picture!
LA comes to Town!
This Sunday, The Los Angeles Rams head into town to face Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. This will undoubtedly be one of the best matchups of the season and perhaps the entire NFL Playoffs thus far. The last time these two teams faced off, the Rams rolled to an easy 34-24 victory. However, it is hard to beat a team twice in one season, and it is even more difficult to do so with the greatest Quarterback of all time behind center.
Things to watch:
Buccaneers Offensive Line: The Buccaneers offensive line has some serious question marks next to it this week. Near the beginning of the game, All Star Tackle Tristan Wirfs left the game with what seemed like an ankle injury. He was followed later by mainstay on the interior line, Ryan Jensen. Jensen did end up returning to the game, however, which bodes well for Bucs fans. The rams have a very strong defensive line, anchored by future Hall of Famer Aaron Donald. If Wirfs does end up missing this game, expect Aaron Donald to line up at Defensive end and matchup against the Buccaneer’s backup tackle.
Wide Receiver Core: The offensive line group isn’t the only position that has been plagued with injuries. The Buccaneers lost key wideout Chris Godwin to an ACL tear and Antonio Brown to an off-field issue this season. This leaves Mike Evans as the key target at the position. The rams have former FSU standout Jalen Ramsey at corner, and it is expected that these two will have a battle throughout the game. Evans needs to get open and make big plays down the field to help the Buccaneers put up enough points to keep up with the Rams Explosive Offense.
Tom Brady: Tom Brady’s experience in the NFL Playoffs is unmatched. Time and time again he proves that he is the greatest winner that football has ever seen. Buccaneers fans saw a similar scenario to this matchup last year. The Saints dominated Tampa Bay in both regular-season games, just to watch Tom Brady have one of his best performances of 2020 season and defeat them in the playoffs. At Moore Resources Insurance, we expect Brady to do the same this year and send the Rams packing!
